The Virginia Tourism Corporation is seeking a Grants Administrator in the Partnership Marketing Division to play a pivotal role in expanding the impact of the iconic Virginia Is For Lovers® brand by helping tourism businesses and organizations succeed in our grant programs. This role blends analytical precision with real-world partnership building, supporting tourism partners of all sizes through smart grant management, education, and collaboration.

This position directly supports tourism businesses, destinations, and communities by helping them stretch their marketing dollars, grow visitation, and strengthen local economies. You will be part of a collaborate team stewarding one of the most recognizable tourism brands in the country while making a tangible impact statewide.

Responsibilities:

• Manage grant management timelines from application through closeout, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth execution across multiple programs
• Track, analyze, and report grant activity using databases and Excel, transforming data into clear, actionable insights
• Oversee reimbursement processes, including invoice review, eligibility verification, and financial documentation
• Serve as a trusted resource for tourism partners, providing guidance on grant eligibility, processes, and best practices
• Present grant programs and processes through in-person visits, webinars, and virtual meetings in partnership with program leadership
• Support continuous improvement of grant systems and processes to better serve Virginia’s tourism industry

Job Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of Access, Excel, and Microsoft Office, with comfort turning numbers into stories
• Experience with grant accounting, financial tracking, and compliance
• Clear, confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• Highly organized mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of tourism marketing and tourism development
• Customer-first, hospitality-driven approach to working with partners
• Ability to engage with partners across Virginia

Experience:

• Two years of experience in grants management with an emphasis on financial tracking and compliance.
