The employee in this position will inspect all units for Public Housing and will do H C V ( Housing Choice Voucher ) , formerly known as Section 8 , inspections when needed . Making certain that compliance with federal regulations , standards , and Authority Policy is adhered to . This work requires good relationships with tenants and landlords involved . This position also requires obtaining an H C V Housing Quality Standards Specialist Certificate . Upon receiving this certification , you will advance in pay to Housing Inspector , $34.42 per hour / $71, 594. 60 annually .
