The College of Education and Social Services (CESS) at the University of Vermont invites nominations and applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position in the Department of Education beginning Fall 2027, at the rank of Assistant Professor with research and teaching that emphasize foundational literacy or literacy development in early ages/grades. Applicants should be motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the CESS mission to "create a more humane and just society. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in foundational literacy through publications, teaching, and service. We are particularly interested in those with training in quantitative methods and experience with grant-writing and oversight of externally funded projects.
