Jail Nurse Location1025 South 9th Street, Manitowoc, WI, 54220, United States Base Pay $62,149.00 - $73,539.00 / Year Employee Type Full-time Regular Description Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department is seeking a Jail Nurse to provide nursing care to the inmates of the Manitowoc County Jail. This position: Assesses inmate health needs and provides case management. Consults with dietary staff on special dietary needs. Completes required documentation. Provides primary nursing care to inmates. Manages inmate medication needs. Reviews health screening forms and advises jail administration of medical issues and necessary precautions. Provides training to corrections staff on first aid, medication administration, and communicable disease precautions This is a 3rd shift position working 7: 00 PM - 3: 30 AM, Sunday - Wednesday and every 3rd Saturday. Requirements Must be a licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Wisconsin, and whatever combination of additional education and work experience provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
