Enterprise Applications Developer I

Position Summary

The Enterprise Applications Developer I plans, designs, develops, integrates, documents, and supports select small to medium complexity software-based solutions, including 3rd party integrations of core applications as well as improvements to internal business applications leveraging modern programming languages and other integration tools.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance existing applications and integrations and develop new solutions to support organizational business needs.
  • Review existing basic processes and recommend new or improved solutions that increase efficiency and accuracy and implement those solutions.
  • Assess and troubleshoot small to medium scale production issues related to performance, data errors, and process failures by reviewing error logs, source code, and applicable data to identify, recommend and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, other developers, and business users through the project life cycle to gather and understand requirements, determine best solutions, test solutions, and demonstrate functionality to end users.
  • Actively participate in design reviews, ensure quality solutions are developed.
  • Responsible for following the GMS Project Life Cycle, Software Development Coding Standards, and Change Control Management policies, procedures, leveraging relevant tools appropriately, and providing feedback on continuing areas of improvement.
  • Create technical requirements based on review and analysis of requirement specifications supplied by Business Systems Analysts and/or business users.
  • Utilize data analysis techniques and queries to support internal business functions through the generation of reports.
  • Conduct and direct system testing and validation procedures meeting SOX compliance requirements.
  • Ability to show initiative, be proactive, meet deadlines and follow-up on open items.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent training/experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in application development
  • Knowledge of any of the following applicable languages/platforms: .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, Dart or other application development programming language.
  • Experience with EDI, X12, Flat File, REST API, JSON, XML, API authentication (OAuth, JWT), and other integration technologies.
  • Knowledge of database concepts and data processes to design, develop, analyze, and support various new projects and make recommendations for improvements to existing processes.
  • Effectively and responsibly leverages AI in organizational workflows
  • Demonstrated knowledge in SDLC implementation
  • Experience with development and version control tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, git or other version control systems.
  • Ability to document code and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to express oneself clearly and concisely when providing service to internal departments, subsidiaries, and outside entities over the telephone, in person or in writing.
  • Ability to think and work effectively under pressure and accurately prioritize and complete tasks within established timeframes.
  • Ability to comply with all GMS policies and procedures.
  • Minimum of one year of the Infor Distribution Suite of Applications preferred
  • Proficiency in Flutter/Dart for Android and Windows platform development preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position 70%
  • Occasionally, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Constantly working in an office environment
  • Must be able to travel occasionally
