This role is based in Raleigh, NC, with occasional travel to our U.S. and Canadian manufacturing facilities.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Design mechanical components for distribution transformers and related products.
  • Prepare detailed designs and documentation aligned with project requirements.
  • Develop innovative concepts to meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate across teams-sales, supply chain, manufacturing-for seamless execution.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Evaluate design performance and cost accuracy to ensure efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of design engineering experience in the power industry; transformer experience preferred.
  • Skilled in CREO, 3D modeling, simulations, and finite element analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, UL, CSA).
  • Strong understanding of design-to-cost and design-to-manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office; SAP experience is a plus.
