The Black Car Fund
The Black Car Fund is a not-for-profit organization that was created by New York State in 1999 to protect New York’s for-hire drivers and their passengers — so that every ride is a safe ride.
The Fund provides workers’ compensation insurance, safety education, and a book of health and wellness benefits to independant ground transportation drivers who operate in the state of New York and who are affiliated with transportation companies that are The Fund’s Member Bases.
We have over 500 Member Bases throughout New York State, covering upwards of 100,000 affiliated drivers.
